Glendale’s Strategic Board (SBP) Plan sets out an ambition to grow its business activities into new customer sectors alongside its core operations. Specifically the SBP targets growth in the commercial market. The role holder will work with the Sales and Development Director, regional managers and senior leaders to implement the regional and local strategic sales plans and meet/exceed the targets set.
The post holder would target work across all South regional operations covering a territory focused on the major cities including of London, Cardiff, Bristol, Exeter and Southampton and many others, covering an area spanning Gloucester, Norfolk, down to Cornwall, and the South East and South West of the UK. We would expect the postholder to further develop our current client base and create new opportunities by using their current network or developing a new network and work to a predefined, annual sales target.
The role requires a strict regime of sales development and management of the Customer Relationship Management software, and reporting Sales Qualified Leads (SQL).
The successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar sales role, been responsible for key account management within the role, commercially astute and a results driven sales leader ideally within a green space environment but not essential. They will thrive on a dynamic fast moving and challenging operational environment but be equally comfortable developing rapport with the esteemed client base.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (desirable) or an equivalent level 6 qualification, ideally in a land-based study (e.g. Horticulture, Arboriculture) or a similar industry.
The successful person will have good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with high energy levels and enthusiasm. They will have excellent financial and planning skills as well as a high degree of quality, health, safety and environmental competence.
