This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader providing green services to private and public sector businesses. 

Glendale Blandford carries out a wide range of grounds maintenance, environmental and countryside management contracts throughout Dorset and surrounding areas and we require a member of staff to join our GM team. We also provide other services including woodland and estates management, vegetation management, fencing, tree surgery, forestry and environmental engineering projects. We would like someone who is able to support one-off projects alongside scheduled GM works.

We are seeking a General Operative based at our Blandford Forum depot.  

The Opportunity

• Fixed term position within our team until the end of October 2021
• 40 hrs per week
• Possibility of a permanent contract at the end
• Good opportunities for overtime earnings
• Based in our Blandford Forum depot, working across Dorset

The Person

• Proactive member of staff with a passion for grounds maintenance, outdoor working, countryside  and the environment
• The candidate will have good organisational and interpersonal skills: be able to deal with clients and the public and work in a team
• Be able to work to undertake duties with  minimum of supervision
• The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge and skills in grounds maintenance, including pedestrian and ride-on grass cutting 
• Nature of work requires the candidate to ideally hold the relevant industry qualifications such as NPTC / Lantra certificates : CS30 /31 , brushcutter/hedge-trimmer, however training will be given.
•  PA1/PA6. Possession of a valid CSCS card would be an advantage. A full UK driving licence is essential, preferably with trailer towing up to 3,500kg.
• Applicants must be reliable and conscientious and will be required to work on their own initiative.
