Glendale hold a number of contracts in Surrey and now seek a suitably qualified and experienced manager to oversee contracts delivering grounds maintenance services to parks, open spaces, cemeteries and highways.
This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader to deliver a strategically important contract offering the full range of services including grounds maintenance of major parks and open spaces, county verges, county highway weed spraying, public toilets, 3G and grass sports pitch maintenance as well as the maintenance of all of tennis courts, cricket squares, play areas, outdoor gyms and skateparks as well as the management of 3 Green Flag parks.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of managing grounds maintenance and project teams and be able to drive productivity whilst ensuring the workforce provides a quality service. You should have a strategic outlook to enable continuous improvement and identify efficiencies along the way.
This is a hands-on role involving monitoring the progress of teams on-site and taking quick and effective action to maintain both high productivity and client satisfaction. You will have full responsibility for the Contract accounts and production of weekly and monthly reports.
Candidates should be well organised, and have skills and experience in people and contract management, with a passion for parks, conservation, countryside & the natural environment. Above all they need to possess excellent leadership ability, enthusiasm, excellent people management and communication skills. A horticultural qualification and a good understanding of IT and field management systems would be preferred.
You should have a strategic outlook to meet short, medium and long-term objectives and champion continuous improvement and community involvement.
