Glendale has recently mobilised a prestigious contract to manage parks and open spaces within the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames and now seek a suitably qualified and experienced supervisor to oversee operational teams across the borough.
With sales of c£2m p.a. the contract oversees the grounds maintenance of parks, open spaces, housing and highways and has a peak staffing of c32 staff.
This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader to support the delivery of a strategically important contract which could see Glendale delivering first class services in Kingston for the next 14 years.
The role involves leading the operational service to successfully meet and exceed contractual expectations through the use of company field management and operational systems. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of supervising grounds maintenance services and be able to drive innovation and productivity improvements through organising and motivating the workforce and proactively leading on quality, environment, safety and health matters.
This is a hands-on role involving performance management of teams and taking quick and effective action to maintain safety, high productivity and client satisfaction.
Candidates should be well organised, and have experience in leading staff and small teams. Furthermore, they need to possess confident leadership ability, enthusiasm and communication skills. A horticultural qualification and an appreciation of IT systems, in particular Google Workspace and field management systems would be an advantage.
You should ideally have a strong operational background working in public open spaces and understand the importance of working as a team to deliver excellent quality and customer care.
A person with a flexible approach to working with an ability to oversee multiple services and teams is essential for this contract along with holding a full clean driving licence.
