Finance Administrator

Location: Ormskirk, Head Office

Mallinsons are now seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join our busy team based at Lathom, Ormskirk, to undertake financial admin tasks. These include overseeing the purchasing systems, credit control duties and financial control reports for the business. The role is office based, but there is flexibility in terms of hours/days worked. The role holder will also support the operations and general administration of the business as needed.

The Opportunity

To provide a proficient administrative support service to the Contract Manager coupled with the efficient day-to-day running of the administration service.

To provide excellent customer care to all users of the facility and employees.

  • To prepare statistical and financial information for the Contract Manager and produce reports as required.
  • Prepare, process and monitor all sales and purchase invoices raised by the contract office prior to sending to the Head Office.
  • Chase customer debt, and ensure aged debt is monitored and reported on to the management team and finance at head office.
  • To raise purchase orders to suppliers for goods and services and to monitor these through to invoices received
  • Answer incoming calls relating to the sales and purchase ledger function, and resolve queries that may arise
  • To undertake other office duties as may reasonably be required.

  • Good spreadsheet skills are essential, must be IT proficient
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking
  • Meticulous and determined to follow things through
  • Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work within tight deadlines and timescales
  • Good time management and the willingness to take a hands on approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Be proactive, innovative, creative and friendly in approach
  • Able to work with a high degree of independence and as part of a multi-disciplined team
