Operatives – Grounds Maintenance 

Location: East of Exeter and West of Bristol 

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader providing green services to private and public sector businesses.

Glendale Countryside currently has vacancies  for team members based from our depot in Brockley near Bristol to be working as part of a mobile team in an area  east of Exeter and west of Bristol. 

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Contract Supervisor, you will undertake grass cutting, hedge cutting and other estate maintenance tasks to carry out vegetation maintenance work in Somerset. There are  a wide variety of tasks including grass cutting with both pedestrian and ride on equipment,  herbicide application,  habitat management and potential woodland work. 

The Person

The role also requires meeting and liaising with customers on a daily basis  so good organisational and personal skills are required.  The position requires genuine commitment and self-motivation and offers an exciting challenge and opportunity.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant countryside and grounds management skills  and hold recognised practical qualifications. A strong understanding and commitment to health & safety and full UK drivers licence is required 

The following current qualifications would be an advantage:  PA1/PA6, Lantra Certification  and SSSTS &/or CSCS card.
