Qualified and Trainee Arborist’s

Surrey Region

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader providing arboricultural services to private and public sector businesses. 

Glendale arboriculture carries out a wide range of tree-related works for domestic, commercial & public sector clients, throughout London and the South East. We are looking for staff to join our arboriculture teams based in Surrey. 

Services offered in this region include woodland and estates management, vegetation management, fencing, tree surgery, forestry and environmental engineering projects.

Our Surrey depot based near Godalming is one of our flagship arboricultural bases, employing 15 qualified and experienced full-time arborists and 2 full-time trainee arborists. Working from 7 am – 3.30 pm 5 days per week. Regular paid overtime also available outside of these hours.

Our arborists benefit from a vast array of tools and equipment, from high-end timberwolf chippers, Husqvarna and Stihl handheld equipment including battery equivalent tools, Mobile Elevated Platforms, 26ton Hi-Ab timber lorries, remote-controlled stump grinders, telehandlers and 3.5t – 7.5t arb spec vehicles. 

We can guarantee our staff have work every day through varying channels with Surrey County Council, Fareham Borough Council, Gatwick Airport, as well as a large proportion of private clients.

The Qualified Person

• Proactive member of staff with a passion for arboriculture
• Strong team working ethic essential
• The candidate will need to be flexible and reliable with a thorough, proven knowledge of all aspects of tree work: ground and aerial
• Comfortable undertaking arboricultural duties including tree pruning, dismantling & felling 
• Nature of work requires the qualified candidates to hold the relevant industry qualifications such as NPTC certificates: 201(CS30), 202(CS31), 206/306(CS38) 308(CS39),. Possession of a valid CSCS card would be an advantage. A full, UK driving licence is desired, preferably with trailer towing up to 3,500kg.
• Must have a positive attitude towards Health & Safety regulations

The Trainee Person

• Proactive member of staff with a passion to learn all aspects of arboriculture
• Strong team working ethic essential
• Comfortable learning arboricultural duties at height, including tree pruning, dismantling & felling 
• Must have a positive attitude towards Health & Safety regulations
• The candidate will need to be flexible and reliable
