Glendale Celebrates Landmark 15-Year Contract with Lewisham Council, Ensuring Premier Park and Green Space Management Until 2040

Glendale is thrilled to announce the extension of its longstanding partnership with Lewisham Council, having secured the company’s most significant contract win of 2024. This unique agreement ensures that Glendale will continue to provide high-quality services for Lewisham’s parks and green spaces until 2040, reaffirming the company’s commitment to excellence in grounds maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, event management, landscaping, cleansing, and playground and water feature management.

For over six years, Glendale has played a pivotal role in helping Lewisham’s parks earn their reputation as the best-maintained public spaces in London, meeting and exceeding all criteria set by the esteemed Good Parks for London. This extended contract not only strengthens Glendale’s relationship with Lewisham Council but also underscores the trust and collaboration between Glendale, London Borough of Lewisham and the wider London community.

“Through our work with Lewisham, Glendale has gained invaluable insights into innovative, community-driven approaches to park management,” said Darren Budden, General Manager at Glendale. “We’ve weathered challenges alongside the borough, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, emerging stronger and more committed to delivering excellence for our parks and green spaces. It’s truly rewarding to see Lewisham’s parks stand out as leaders among London’s 32 boroughs.”

The contract reflects Glendale’s ongoing dedication to enhancing urban green spaces, promoting environmental sustainability, and supporting the health and wellbeing of the Lewisham community. By delivering premier maintenance and introducing new services, Glendale will continue to make Lewisham’s parks vibrant and welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike.

“We look forward to the next 15 years of partnership and progress with Lewisham Council, and we are excited about the innovations and advancements we will bring to Lewisham’s parks,” Darren added.
