For this month’s ‘Pick of the Bunch’, we’ve chosen to highlight the hard work of Bethany Waldman, our dynamic Regional Scheduling Manager.
As the Regional Scheduling Manager for Glendale, Bethany has an important role in the company. At the moment, her main job is to plan and oversee the adoption of Glendale Live, the digital platform that is used across all of Glendale’s contracts to make work easier and more efficient. “I support the east region and corprate division with scheduling and Glendale Live, including training,” Bethany explains. Her position requires a high level of organisation and a thorough understanding of the operational demands across various contracts. By managing these parts, Bethany contributes to the smooth running of projects within her region.
“I work closely with the contract managers but also support ops team members, area managers, and directors,” she shares, reflecting on the importance of teamwork in her day-to-day responsibilities. This support system helps Bethany integrate Glendale Live smoothly at different levels of the company. She plays a vital role in making sure each team can use the system to its full potential, whether it’s for operational efficiency or strategic planning. “My main goal for the coming months is to get all contracts running on G-live and use the system well”.
Bethany’s journey to Glendale was motivated by personal and professional reasons. “I was looking to relocate back to my home town to be closer to my mum in order to help support her mental health,” she explains. Her hometown’s influence played a role in her decision, but Glendale’s values and mission truly drew her in. “I found the advertisement for Glendale, and the company ethics drew me in,” Bethany recalls. Working in her local area and joining a company that shared her values made Glendale a perfect fit for her.
After joining Glendale, Bethany recognised how important the company’s role is. “It’s not just about cutting grass; it’s about building a better and safer community for everyone”.
For Bethany, the company’s support of teamwork and continuous improvement reflects her personal approach to work. She believes that everyone should strive to improve, not just for individual success but for the success of the entire team. Glendale focuses on teamwork, which helps employees like Bethany feel empowered. This allows her to contribute to the company’s main goals.
When asked about the most important skill for her role, “Resilience,” she says, is the key skill in her job. Bethany’s role is dynamic, with each day bringing new challenges and responsibilities. “There are no typical days in my job,” she says. Some days, she joins meetings. Other days, she works directly with contract managers on Glendale Live’s implementation.
Bethany’s current role is a continuation of her career working with diverse teams and supporting others. “I worked in care previously, so working alongside people is important to me,” she explains. Her experience in care has given her a strong understanding of teamwork and supporting others. This understanding has helped her in her role at Glendale. These people-focused roles have given her the skills necessary to manage large teams and diverse projects while keeping the well-being of her colleagues and the community at the forefront of her work.
Bethany Waldman’s time at Glendale shows her dedication, strength, and true commitment to the company’s values. Her focus on helping her team and improving operations through Glendale Live makes her essential to the company. She ensures the best results for both clients and colleagues.
As she continues to work towards her goal of expanding Glendale Live across all contracts, Bethany exemplifies the qualities that Glendale values most: teamwork, continuous improvement, and resilience. With her people-focused approach and strong work ethic, Bethany is helping to shape a better, safer community through her work at Glendale.
A massive thanks to Bethany for taking part in our ‘Pick of the Bunch’ series; we’re beyond grateful to have her on our team.
